All Things Happens For A reason

Bible Verses About Everything Happens For A Reason

Have you ever wondered if things really happen for a reason?

Today I found myself wondering the same, then I started looking at this Bible verses about everything happens for a reason and I feel so comforted.

When you read the Bible you realise that everything indeed happens for a reason. God is so intentional that nothing just happens.

We all want to know why bad things happen. What Bible verses can we turn to for comfort and guidance? By far the best scripture that illustrate that everything happens for a reason is the story of Paul and what he was struggling with.

In 2 Corinthians 12:8-10

Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

We all have weaknesses, but when we are weak in our lives, God is strong. We just need to trust him with it. He knows why things happen the way they do. And he will lead us on an amazing journey if only we let ourselves be led by His hand. It is a beautiful thing to have faith in God and that everything happens for a reason.

We highly recommend these Four Bibles if you desire to grow in your knowledge of God’s word.

I hope Bible verses about everything happening for a reason can provide some comfort during your hard times, as they had done so for me today.

John 11:4-5 NIV

4 When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” 5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.

When you look at this narrative in John 11, Lazarus’ illness and eventual death, it may appear that Jesus was insensitive for spending four more days where He was while a person He claim to love suffered. But this was not the case, Jesus was intentional about what He wanted to reveal to the family. He knew Lazarus was going to die, but he let it happen as a way of showing us that “everything happens for a reason”.

Lazarus had to die for the people to learn a new truth about Jesus. Read more here.

2 Corinthians 12:8-10 NIV

8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

It is difficult to comprehend why God permits events to occur in the manner they do at times. However, if you pay close attention and submit your life to God patiently you will see the big picture.

I know it might be difficulty especially when going through a painful experience , but you must turn your eyes towards God. The Bible verses about everything happening for a reason will give you the strength and courage to persevere in life knowing there is purpose behind it all, even when we can’t understand why they happen.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen  is eternal.”

Three Reasons why God allows Things To Happen

God allows things to happen for his glory

God is in control and he has a plan and purpose for everything we go through. Everything that happens to us, no matter how bad it seems or painful it may be, God will use it to bring Glory to His name.

God allows Things to happen for our Good

Another reasons why God allows things to happen is for our good. We may not understand it at the time, but everything that happens in life will always end up being something that brings us closer to Him.

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God.”

God allows things to happen to bring a new truth to light

This is the last reason why God allows things to happen. When we see a new truth, it brings us closer to Him and gives us an opportunity for more relationship with him.

“I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give  you hope and a future.”

every plan that God has even if it brings pain it will be for our good for hope and future.
