Deuteronomy 30:11

For this commandment which I command you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it far off. 12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, “Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?” 13 Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, “Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?” 14 But the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so that you can do it.

James 1:16-17. 16 Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

God’s promises are yes and Amen in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 1:20

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.

This doesn’t mean they are necessarily easy, for some of them require us to do things that most of us wouldn’t even consider doing, and for which we may need a lot of courage.

2 Samuel 7:28

For you are God, O Sovereign Lord. Your words are truth, and you have promised these good things to your servant.

What is the greatest God’s promise in the bible?

The greatest promise in the bible is found in John 3:16, which states “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” This verse describes the love of God for humanity and how deep it is.

If it weren’t enough, it goes on to say that God loved humanity so much that He gave His Son for us. Clearly, this is one of the greatest promises in the bible.

Of course, a great promise should be backed up by great fulfillment, and John 3:16 does not disappoint. The fulfillment comes later in John 3 when Jesus tells Nicodemus “God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” When we believe in Jesus Christ, we receive eternal life!

the greatest promise in the Bible

Our greatest problem (our sin) is solved and our greatest need (eternal life) is fulfilled. This is what makes John 3:16 such a powerful example of God’s love and His desire for all of us to be with Him in Heaven.

The love of God is so strong that He gave up everything so that we might not perish, but have eternal life through Jesus Christ. This is the greatest promise in the bible because it’s more than just a hope or an idea; this promise will become reality when you believe.

Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 John 2:25 25 And this is what he promised us—eternal life.

God keeps His promises Bible verse

There are many verses that describe how God is faithful to all of His promises. That includes the promise of eternal life for those who honor Him. Here are 40 God keeps His promises Bible verse:

Psalm 91:16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation

Romans 8:28-30 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called,  he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

2 Corinthians 1:20-21 For as many as are the promises of God,  in him (Jesus Christ) is the yes.  Through him (Jesus Christ) we also utter the Amen to God for his glory. 21 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ.  He anointed us, 22 set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

Philippians 1:6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Romans 4:20-21 20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

Hebrews 11:13-16 13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 14 People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15 If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

Purpose of God’s Promises.

Promises play a significant role in the Bible. They are often associated with God, and serve as a way for Him to communicate His will to people

. There are various purposes for promises, but one of the main reasons God makes them is to establish a covenant relationship with someone. In addition, promises provide comfort, assurance, and guidance. Ultimately, they are meant to bring about change in people’s lives.

Types of God’s Promises.

types of promises

There are many different types of promises that God makes.

Covenant promise.

A covenant promise is a binding agreement between God and his people. God always keeps his promises, and he will never break his covenant with his people.

Another type of promise is the prophetic promise.

Prophetic promise.

A prophetic promise is a future prediction that God gives to his people. These promises are always 100% accurate, and they always come true. God also makes conditional promises.

Conditional promise

A conditional promise is a promise that depends on something happening first. If the condition is met, then the promise will be fulfilled. However, if the condition isn’t met, then the promise won’t be fulfilled.

An example being the promise of blessing higlighted in Deuteronomy 28:1

God’s Promises of Salvation

Salvation is a free gift from God that He offers to everyone who believes in Jesus Christ. When we accept this gift, we are given eternal life and forgiveness for our sins. This promise is found throughout the Bible, starting with the very first book, Genesis.

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

2 Corinthians 5:17

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”

“And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

God’s Promises of a New Body

In the Bible, there is a promise of a new body. This new body will be perfect and free from sin.

8000 promises of God in the Bible

2 Corinthians 5:1

“For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.”

This verse speaks about the promise of a new body that God has made for us. We will receive this new body when Jesus returns to Earth.

1 Thessalonians 4:16

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.”

This verse tells us that when Jesus returns, we will receive our new bodies. These bodies will be perfect and free from sin.

God’s Promise of Abundant Life

God has always been a God of abundance. He created an abundant world with plenty of resources for all. In the Bible, He promises to provide for His people’s needs. He even says that they will have so much they will be able to give away to others.

This promise is still true today. No matter what we are going through, we can trust that God will provide for us. His Word tells us in Philippians 4:19. that “my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus”

When we put our trust in Him, He will always keep His promise of abundant life. We may not understand everything that is happening in our lives, but we can be assured that God has a plan and is working everything out for our good as He has promised in Romans 8:28.

God’s Promise of Answered Prayer

God has always been a God who answers prayer. He has a promise that He will answer the prayers of those who come to Him in faith.

In the Bible, Jesus says “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you” John 15:7. This means that as long as we are connected to Jesus through faith and obedience, we can ask Him for anything we want. And not only will He hear us, but He will also answer our prayers!

One example of answered prayer is found in the story of Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4:10 NIV. Jabez was a man who prayed fervently to God for blessing and protection. As a result of his faithfulness, God granted him great favor and increased His territory exponentially. What an amazing promise!

1 Chronicles 4:10 NIV

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.

God’s Promise of Comfort

In times of trouble, it’s natural to seek comfort from others. But what do you do when the people you turn to can’t help? This is where God’s promise of comfort comes in. He assures us that He is always with us and will never leave us. No matter what we’re going through, we can find peace in His presence.

The Bible is full of verses that offer comfort in difficult times. One of my favorites is from the book of Hebrews, which says, “God will never leave you nor forsake you.”

This promise is a source of comfort for me when I’m feeling down or struggling with a problem. I know that no matter what happens in this life, God will be there with me, providing strength and support.

Another comforting Bible verse is from Psalm 23: “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” This verse reassures me that no matter what challenges I face in life, God will be with me every step of the way.

What is God’s main promise?

God’s main promise is to reconcile everyone to Himself, so He can have eternal fellowship with us.

In the Bible, we read that Jesus Christ is the only way to come back into a right relationship with God.

Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” John 14:6. When we invite Jesus into our lives as our personal Savior, we are forgiven for our sins and given eternal life. As Christians, we look forward to spending eternity with God in heaven.

2 Corinthians 5:19-20 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

John 3:16 God’s main promise is to reconcile everyone to Himself, so He can have eternal fellowship with us.

Romans 5:11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

The first promise in the Bible

The first promise in the Bible is found in Genesis 3:15, where God tells the serpent that He will put enmity between him and the woman, and between his offspring and hers. This promise is fulfilled in the story of redemption, which begins with Adam and Eve’s disobedience and culminates in Christ’s victory over Satan.

In between these two events, we see God’s faithfulness to His promise as He protects and provides for His people despite their rebellion. The first promise is a picture of God’s love for His people and His faithfulness to His covenant with them.

And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head,   and you will strike his heel.” Genesis 3:15
